Cam MC120 (12mm valve lift)

For Smart 836cc petrol 452 Roadster,

This cam is for the prototype Smart Roadster that has a proposed 200hp. To fit this cam special valve springs and retainers will be needed and potentially cutouts in the pistons would be required.

Availability: Prototype Stage

This is the MC120 in comparison to the MC83 cam on a 700cc engine, both using the inlet spacer. As you can see from the graph the maximum power is not greatly increased but the spread of that power is increased dramatically. This gives a good building block to the next stage of tuning (This graph is from simulation software. See disclaimer)

The above shows the MC120 in comparison to the MC83 cam.

The plan is to release this cam as a 200hp package

On this website i use outputs graphs from a simulation software. These graphs are for comparison only and should be used in that way. They all assume a standard engine in good mechanical condition and a Turbo that can generate 1.5bar of boost at whatever RPM is shown and at whatever engine load.

"THEY ARE FOR COMPARISON ONLY AND NOT REAL LIFE, THIS IS A SIMULATION ON A COMPUTER"
